In the plenary session regional care 1, inspiring keynote speakers will
present the current state of health care research in Germany and England.
Specifi cally, Dr. Hildebrandt (Chairman of OptiMedis AG) will present
current health care models related to his project “Healthy Kinzigtal”. Prof. Raine
(Professor of Health Care Evaluation, University College London) will provide an overview
on the challenge associated with the evaluation of healthcare interventions including state
of the art, recent developments, pitfalls to avoid and future directions. Prof. Raine’s
experience and insights will be extremely stimulating and of key importance to the fi eld
of healthcare research. While the number of psychological disorders and psychosomatic
diseases is on the rise, Prof. Härter (Center for Psychosocial Medicine, Institute and Outpatients
Clinic Medical Psychology, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf) will
discuss the current developments of psychological diseases interventions in regional health
care. Prof. Dr. Dr. Nicotera (German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, chair of
the management board on Health Research of the Helmholtz Association) is the present
chair of the management board on Health Research of the Helmholtz Association and will
share with us the health care research of the Helmholtz Association in its broad focus and
the Board’s future plans.
