Dr. Müller is a trained animal physiologist and received his PhD in 2005 at Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. From 2009-2011 Dr Müller worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Metabolic Disease Institute, University of Cincinnati before he retured to Germany, where he since 2011 is head of the Division of Molecular Pharmacology at the Institute for Obesity and Diabetes (IDO) at the Helmholtz Center in Munich. Since 08/2018 Dr Müller is the acting Director of the IDO.
