Biosketch
Christian Sina is a medical doctor and specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is Fresenius Kabi Chair of Nutritional Medicine, founding director of the Institute of Nutritional Medicine and study program director “Nutritional Medicine” at the University of Lübeck. He serves as a consultant for gastroenterology and clinical nutrition at the 1st Medical Department and the Comprehensive Center for Inflammation Medicine (CCIM) at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck. Dr. Sina’s research interest is on host-microbiome interactions and personalized nutrition.
Recently, Dr. Sina became Co-Founder of perfood GmbH, a company dedicated to develop digital nutritional therapeutics.
Dr. Sina is the president of the German Society of Mucosal Immunology and Microbiome (DGMIM) and editor-in-chief (CME section) of the german journal “AKTUELLE ERNÄHRUNGSMEDIZIN”, which serves as bulletin for the German Society of Nutritional Medicine.
