Peter Kempler is Professor of Medicine at the Dept of Medicine and Oncology, Semmelweis University. Between 2018-2021 he was the chairman of NEURODIAB, Neuropathy Study Group of the EASD. He is President of the Central European Diabetes Association (FID CEDA). He was the President of the Hungarian Diabetes Association between 2016-2021 and is President of the Diabetes Licence Committee of the Semmelweis University, as well as the President of the Association of Hungarian Medical Societies. His international citation index is over 13000.
