Specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology 2012. Since 2015 Consultant and Associate Professor at Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Nordsjaellands Hospital, Hilleroed, Denmark. Clinical expertise includes diabetes, overweight and medical complications/conditions during pregnancy. Defended PhD in 2008 "Diabetes in Pregnancy - long-term implications for the offspring". Main research area includes Developmental Origin of Health and Disease within the field "offspring from pregnancies with diabetes" as well as “long-term offspring consequences of delivery by cesarean section”. Research methods include, clinical follow-up studies, epidemiologi and registerbased studies. Supervisor for PhD students, author of papers and bookchapters, invited talks and presentations at international meetings and conferences as well as reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals. Member of the Diabetic Pregnancy Study Group (DPSG) since 2014.
