2 Implementation of the pharmaceutical advertising law at the DGPPN Congress
The pharmaceutical advertising law (PAL) mandates that only so-called expert groups are permitted to attend the industry exhibition, industry events and other industry offerings. There are comprehensive bans on public advertising that are regulated by Section 10 Paragraph 1 of the PAL:
“Advertising for prescription drugs must be limited to physicians, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists and people who are permitted to do business with these drugs”.
Only the above-named persons are allowed to enter the areas presenting prescription drugs and the accordingly labelled industry sessions. All participants have unlimited access to all other areas of the trade exhibition. The legislative regulation is available at:

3 This participation rate requires proof, i.e. a certificate of enrolment or a corresponding proof of entitlement. During the online registration, please upload your respective document for further review. Without valid proof, you will only be able to participate in the congress after paying the full participation fee.

4 In the first year of their membership, new DGPPN members can participate for free in the DGPPN Congress (29.11.–02.12.2023), as long as they have paid their membership dues by the start of the congress. Free participation in the congress requires that you remain a member of the DGPPN for at least two years. Please submit your membership application to the DGPPN Office.

5 Grant for medical students: Grant for medical students to participate in the entire congress (29.11.–02.12.2023). Only for full-time students studying for their first degree. The quota is limited. Once the quota is exhausted, you also have the option to participate in the congress free of charge as part of a new Starter membership. Information on Starter memberships can be found at dgppn.de.

6 Grant for full-time students in other fields: Grant for full-time students in other fields to participate in the entire congress (29.11.–02.12.2023). Participants in further training as psychological psychotherapists should choose the respective rate for this category; they are not eligible for a grant. The rate for part-time students depends on their occupation; they are also not eligible for a grant. The quota is limited. When the quota is exhausted, you can register with the reduced rate for full-time students.

7 This rate applies to people who have a mental illness and their caregivers. Limited contingent available upon request. Please send your request to programm@dgppn.de.

8 Press representatives: participation in the entire DGPPN Congress 29.11.–02.12.2023. Please note that you may only participate free of charge as a press representative if you are actively working as a journalist in the subject area of the DGPPN Congress.
